    • Cal-ITP Benefits has a new landing page. After our October release, did you notice a change at the first step of the rider experience on benefits.calitp.org? Instead of choosing their agency from a pop-up window, riders now choose the agency name from a dropdown field directly on the page. This change was necessary because our previous design only supported up to eight agencies. With five agencies currently live in the app and many slated to launch in the first half of 2026, we made this update to accommodate the growth ahead. Aside from a few small styling changes, the design of agency-specific landing pages remain largely the same. This is the first significant change to the rider experience in many months. If you have input, please email us your thoughts. We always welcome your feedback!
    • We surpassed 10,000 reduced-fare transactions! We ended October with 10,363 reduced-fare, open-loop transactions processed at California transit agencies that have adopted Cal-ITP Benefits. We aimed to surpass 10,000 reduced-fare transactions in 2025, and we met our enrollment goal back in July, so we've now exceeded both of our key metrics goals for the year. We often consider the reduced fares metric our most important. It indicates that people are not simply enrolling for reduced fares, but that they are actually adopting open-loop payments and receiving the transit benefit for which they are eligible. This metric shows real impact for Californians. A couple of years ago, 10,000 transactions felt like an enormous number. We weren't sure how long it would take to reach it. Now that we are here, we see there is tremendous potential for growth. It's not unreasonable to think we might exceed 10,000 reduced-fare transactions in 2026 alone.
