Product updates

• New transit partner: Welcome, El Dorado Transit! El Dorado Transit Authority completed its contactless payment implementation in January and began offering transit benefit enrollment in Cal-ITP Benefits for older adults and Medicare cardholders. We now have seven agencies spanning Northern, Central, and Southern California live in the app and a healthy pipeline of agencies in various stages of onboarding in the coming months.
  
  

• Did you know you can track all of our work on GitHub? Cal-ITP Benefits is open-source software. While we cover product highlights in this monthly update, we don't cover all the nuanced, behind-the-scenes work our engineers and designers do. As product adoption ramps up, we're quietly doing the satisfying but unglamorous work of refactoring our code and our processes to lay the foundation for a more scalable, robust application. If you're curious and want to dive deeper, check out what we launched in our February release, review our process to onboard a new agency, learn more about our infrastructure, see how we run and maintain automated tests, or review all the open issues in our backlog.

Total rider enrollments using the Cal-ITP Benefits app. We aim to surpass 1690 enrollments by the end of 2026. That's 1,000 by the end of the year.

Total reduced-fare, open-loop transactions processed at California transit agencies that have adopted Cal-ITP Benefits. We aim to surpass 21,593 transactions in 2026. We'll need to surpass 10,000 transactions this year to meet this mark.
