We began development of Cal-ITP Benefits Administrator—a new tool we'll make available to agencies in Q4. The first feature we'll offer is in-person eligibility verification and enrollment.
The General Services Administration published a blog post featuring success stories of state government programs utilizing Login.gov. They included Cal-ITP Benefits as one of the first state programs in the country to leverage this federal service.
In collaboration with our colleagues at CDT, we've applied to utilize the Blue Button API via the California Identity Gateway for Medicare cardholder eligibility verification in Cal-ITP Benefits. We've loved working with the Medicare.gov team managing this API and look forward to sharing a demo of our solution in October.
We began development of Cal-ITP Benefits Administrator—a new tool we'll make available to agencies in Q4. The first feature we'll offer is in-person eligibility verification and enrollment. This workflow complements remote, digital enrollment in the Cal-ITP Benefits app by allowing agency staff to verify a rider's eligibility for a transit benefit in person and enroll their contactless debit or credit card to receive reduced fares. This new option will allow benefits enrollments for riders in eligible groups that are not yet offered using digital enrollment, such as youth and individuals with disabilities.
