Product updates

  • Our customer support team attended CALACT in San Diego last month. Ten attending agencies expressed interest in Cal-ITP Benefits. We look forward to many demos in the coming months as we introduce our service and learn more about the needs of agencies as they transition to fare collection using open-loop payments.

  • In May, we will launch our first campaign to promote Cal-ITP Benefits to Monterey-Salinas Transit riders via the Transit app. We’re excited about this collaboration and hope this approach to promotion becomes part of the playbook for all agencies using the Benefits app.

  • Rider enrollments were sluggish in April. However, reduced fare transactions by riders who have registered their credit or debit card remain healthy and increased again from last month. Riders are using their transit benefit once enrolled!
  • April was a "heads down" month for our design and development teams. We look forward to deploying new functionality and important enhancements in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
